Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival at Delhi

Arrival at Delhi
On your arrival at the Indira Gandhi International airport, Delhi, you will be received by our representative and will be escorted to your hotel in an air-conditioned vehicle. You will be accorded a traditional welcome. There will be an overnight stay at the hotel.

Delhi, the political capital of India has a very rich cultural heritage. It has been a center of administration and power from centuries and has witnessed rise and fall of many dynasties. The magnificent structures are mute testimonies of its rich history. The city has evolved itself with passage of time. Delhi is a paradox in itself. On one hand, there are ancient havelis and monuments most of which have turned in rubbles, reflecting the old city and on the other side, you can explore the city progressing on the lines of westernized nations…i.e. New Delhi for you. Delhi is a perfect destination to initiate your journey. You will be amazed by how much this city offers in terms of tourist attractions, cuisine and culture.

Day 2 - Delhi

Enjoy a lavish buffet breakfast at the hotel and be prepared for a sightseeing tour of Delhi. Our city tour covers both, Old and New Delhi. Feel the ancient world charm Old Delhi offers and be introduced to the hub of modern India, New Delhi.

Old Delhi - Old Delhi constructed by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan was known as Sahajahanabad in earlier days, named after the Emperor himself. This part of the city has number of significant monuments like the Red Fort and the Jama Masjid. The city remains of crumbling walls and centuries old havelis, which takes one back in time to the royal past that the city witnessed during many dynasties. Explore the crowded lanes of Jama Masjid and Chandni Chowk on a rickshaw and set off to visit the pride of Delhi, the Red Fort.

New Delhi - New Delhi is a cosmopolitan city, the new face of India. New Delhi is at par with any other international city. It has high rise buildings, swanky shopping malls, discotheques and every facility a metropolitan city should have. Get a complete insight into modern Delhi which includes a visit to Humayun's Tomb, Qutab Minar, a pleasant drive across the monumental India Gate and the Parliament House.

After a brief halt at Connaught Place, known as heart of Delhi, we will proceed to witness the spectacular Light and Sound Show or Parsi Anjuman Dance Show. Dinner will be at the restaurant / hotel. Overnight stay at Delhi.

Day 3 - Delhi – Agra

After breakfast, we set off to Agra by road. The 180 km (3.5 hrs) drive is a pleasurable journey, enjoy the beautiful environment and witness the numerous villages lying en route.
Check in at the hotel on arrival to Agra.
Agra is a beautiful city founded in 1475 by Raja Badal Singh. It is situated on the west bank of the Yamuna River. The city tour covers both the facets of Agra, the old as well as new city. The old part is situated near main "Kinari Bazaar" market. The cantonment area provides a glimpse of modern Agra. This area of Agra is particularly famous for numerous handicraft shops and restaurants. The city of Taj Mahal has numerable monuments built of snow white marble and bright red stone. You will be astounded by majestic view of the Agra Fort. The other major attractions of Agra are Itmad-ud-daulah, Chini-ka-rauza, Jami Masjid, Ram Bagh and Akbar's Mausoleum.
The former capital of Mughals, Agra, offers authenticated Mughlai cuisine. Satiate your taste buds with an array of delicacies and sweets.
Our sightseeing will start from the monument that is an epitome of love, the Taj Mahal, the pride of the nation. We will reach Taj Mahal by a tonga or a battery operated van as Petrol and Diesel operated vehicles are not allowed near the Taj.
Taj Mahal is a mesmerizing monument whose beauty cannot be described in words. Taj Mahal, the symbol of immortal love and passion, attracts hordes of tourists from across the world. It is a beautiful love story not expressed through words but by lively stones. Taj Mahal is an architectural marvel, built by Emperor Shah Jahan to keep the promise made by him to his dying wife, Mumtaj Mahal. The monumental structure which took 22 years and more than 20,000 laborers to complete is renowned for its stunning architecture, elegant domes and beautiful inlay work.
Agra Fort - The construction of the imposing Agra fort was started by Emperor Akbar in 1565 and was finally completed in the regime of Shah Jahan. Built of red sandstone, the fort is a perfect example that illustrates the Mughal love for architecture.
Evening will be free for leisure activities. Dinner and night stay at Agra.

Day 4 - Agra - Fatehpur Sikri – Jaipur

After relishing a hearty breakfast at the hotel, we depart for the city of colors - Jaipur. Jaipur is situated at 222 km (4.5 hrs) off Agra. The pleasant drive offers an opportunity to explore the beautiful countryside and the spirit of India which still exists in its charming villages.

Before proceeding further we visit the Fatehpur Sikri built by Akbar. Situated at a distance of 38 kms from Agra, the city was built in gratitude towards Sufi Saint, Sheikh Salim Chisti. The city has elements of both Hindu and Islamic style of architecture. It has a huge complex of monuments and temples. Most of the structures now are in ruins but do not fail to provide a glimpse of the lifestyle of the Mughal Era. The most famous monument is the gigantic Buland Darwaza - the largest gateway in the world. It is one of the finest specimens of Mughal architecture.

Arrival at Jaipur by noon and check in at hotel.

Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan is the perfect destination to begin your exploration of Rajasthan's multifaceted attractions. Founded by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II of the Kachchawaha dynasty, the beautiful city is a perfect kaleidoscope of meandering streets flanked with beautiful palaces, ancient havelis, exquisite bazaars and colorful people. It is the first planned city of India. The city of Jaipur, painted in pink, is a modern city but yet flavored strongly with an age-old charm. The Rajput taste is reflected in the architecture of the city. Every nook and corner of the city is a mute testimony of its glorious past. Jaipur is the major tourist attraction of Rajasthan.

Day 5 - Jaipur

After enjoying a sumptuous breakfast, we proceed for a sightseeing tour of the Amber Fort. Enjoy the view of the valley on an Elephant back while you are on the way to the hilltop fort.
Amber Fort - The magnificent Amber Fort constructed by Raja Man Singh in 1592 lies at a distance of 11 km from Jaipur. The fort is an excellent example of Rajput style of architecture. The majestic palace is situated on a hillside and overlooks a serene lake which reflects its beautiful terraces on its crystal clear waters.
Hawa Mahal - Built by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh in 1799, Hawa Mahal is a pink sandstone building. This was built in order to enable the ladies of the royal family to watch the everyday life on the streets below. The beautiful structure is five storied and is also known as the palace of winds. Hawa Mahal is one of the major tourist attractions of Jaipur.
City Palace - City Palace is a huge complex consisting of a series of courtyards, lush gardens and buildings. Situated in the heart of the old city, it is a perfect amalgamation of Rajasthani and Mughal style of architecture. A part of the palace is still used for residential purpose by the royal family.

Jaigarh Fort - Situated at the distance of 15 km off the city, Jaigarh fort is a magnificent fort. The fort was built for the purpose of bolstering the defense mechanism of the city of Amer. Surrounded by thorn-scrub hills; the massive fort has all the features typical of a citadel.

Evening will be free for leisure activities. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Jaipur.

Day 6 - Jaipur - Ajmer - Pushkar

Situated south-west of Jaipur at a distance of 132 kms, Ajmer is one of the holiest cities of India. The city, whose foundations were laid by Raja Ajay Pal Chauhan in the 7th century A.D., has been a witness to an interesting past. Ajmer was the main center of the Chauhan dynasty. In 1193 A.D. the possession of Ajmer passed from Prithviraj Chauhan to Mohammed Gaure and Ajmer became a part of the Delhi Sultanate. Later on, Rana Kumbha of Mewar and Raja Maldeo again established Rajput rule over Ajmer.

Ajmer is a popular pilgrimage center revered by both Hindus and Muslims. The biggest attraction of Ajmer is the Dargah Sharif-tomb of the Sufi saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti built by Emperor Akbar. We will then depart for Pushkar located at a 30 Min drive from Ajmer. On arrival at pushkar, check into hotel. Overnight stay at Pushkar.

Day 7 - Pushkar – Udaipur

Post Breakfast, proceed for a tour to Pushkar, the religious town situated on the banks of the sacred Pushkar Lake. Pushkar is a holy town of Hindus and is very famous for the Pushkar Fair which is held here annually on Kartik full moon. There is a legend associated with the origin of the lake and the town. As per Hindu mythology, Lord Brahma killed demon Vajra Nabh with a lotus flower and the petals of that flower fell at three places, Pushkar being one of them. The water sprouted from the place where the petal fell. World's only temple devoted to Lord Brahma is situated here. After lunch we depart for Udaipur, better known as Venice of the east. The beautiful city of Udaipur lies at a distance of 260 km (5.5 hours) from Pushkar.

Known as the city of dawn, Udaipur is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful cities in Rajasthan. The city has picturesque palaces, captivating lakes and lush gardens, all which make it distinctive from rest of the Thar. The forts of Udaipur attract thousands of the tourists because of their sheer size and marvelous architecture. Regarded as one of the most romantic cities of the world, it offers the tourists immense opportunities with historic, religious and culturally significant sites. Overnight stay will be at Udaipur.

Day 8 - Udaipur

Breakfast will be served at the hotel. You may choose from a typical Rajasthani or any of your favourite international cuisine. Then proceed for a full city tour of Udaipur. We will first visit the City Palace. Be enchanted by the beauty of this marvelous piece of architecture. The palace covers a huge area. The complex comprises of many structures, courtyards, gardens and buildings. The rooms are adorned with mirrored walls and ivory doors, colored glass windows and inlaid marble Jarokhas and the Peacock Courtyard.

Enjoy the evening Motor launch cruise on the shimmering waters of Lake Pichola. Our next stoppage will be at the Jag Mandir Palace - the beautiful island palace located in the middle of the serene lake. After a brief halt at Jag Mandir Palace we will visit the 300-year-old Jagdish Temple and the Royal Cenotaphs of the Rajput kings. Evening will be free for leisure. Overnight will be at Udaipur.

Day 9 - Udaipur

Breakfast will be served at the hotel, set off on a drive to Ranakpur, the intricately carved Jain Temple Complex built in 1439 AD. We will hit the road and reach Udaipur, a drive of approximately 2 hours. Overnight stay will be at Udaipur.

Day 10 - Udaipur - Delhi (By Air) - Varanasi (By Air)

After Breakfast at hotel, you will be transferred to Udaipur airport for a flight to Varanasi via Delhi. You will be received at the Varanasi airport and will escort you to the hotel by our company representative. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 11 - Varanasi

Proceed for early morning boat ride on River Ganges followed by a full day city tour of Varanasi covering the temples on the banks of the river and the New Vishwanath Temple situated on the campus area of Banaras Hindu University.In the evening witness the Aarti at River Ganga, with innumerable floating diyas and flowers, it is a scenario not to be missed.
Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 12 - Varanasi - Delhi (By Air)

In the morning we will visit Sarnath, one of the 'World Heritage Sites". It is a sacred place where Lord Buddha preached his first sermon and started the Dharmachakra 2500 years ago. 250 years after the death of Lord Buddha, the Mauryan Emperor Ashoka constructed a stupa, a monastery and also laid the foundation of a university. Post lunch you will be transferred to the airport to board the flight to Delhi.
On arrival to Delhi, you will be transferred to the international airport for your onward connecting flight to your final destination.
