Day 1 - ARRIVAL TRIVANDRUM - KOVALAM
Arrival at Trivandrum International airport
Meet upon arrival by Genser representative and transferred to your hotel in Kovalam
Overnight at the resort, Kovalam
Trivandrum the capital city of Kerala is a city which blends the ancient and the modern. You can still see the relics of ancient architectural style prominent in most of its buildings, whether it be offices or it be temples.
KOVALAM is a world renowned beach resort of Kerala with blue and sunny, calm beaches ideal for swimming
Day 2 - KOVALAM
Full day at leisure to relax by the beach
You can indulge in swimming in the clear seas of Kovalam
In the evening, enjoy a relaxing and rejuvenating Ayurvedic general body massage for 1 hour at the resort.

Day 3 - KOVALAM - VARKALA

Proceed to Varkala, a seaside tourist destination, 55 km North of Trivandrum

Day 4 - VARKALA QUILON (approx 60 km)
Paravoor elephant camp, Ashtamudi lake and Cashew processing are major attractions. Elephants have been an integral part of cultural Kerala from the time immemorial. These huge mammals have always been loved, revered, groomed and given a prestigious place in the state.
Day 5 - KOLLAM KONNI
KONNI, on the Sahyadri Hills, is surrounded by blue green rain forests untouched by humans.

Later you can spend your time mountaineering, rock climbing, horse riding and bath in a waterfall

Day 7 - KONNI - ALLEPPY (130 Km; 3 ½ Hrs) ~ KUMARAKOM (by houseboat)

Overnight cruise to Kumarakom
Alleppey the small town famed as the Venice of the East. Check in to houseboat for an overnight cruise through the unique back waters of Kerala. Houseboat will be your transportation for the day and accommodation for the night. Cruise through the palm fringed canals; watch the Paddy fields, village folk. Relax on board hearing lullaby of the wind and waves. This mysterious strip of emerald green land is stuffed with endless miles of placid backwaters that appends to its charm. Unwind yourself, watching the endless strips of greenery passing by and the emerald green waters meet the crystal blue sky, whilst the houseboat cruises in a relaxing pace. This would be an experience, which you would always cherish to remember.
Cruise till 6 in the evening by then the houseboat halts in the lake for overnight stay. (Next day, cruising starts at 7 am.)
In the evening, enjoy a splendid dinner onboard houseboat. Overnight on board.
Day 8 - KUMARAKOM

Full day at leisure to relax in the serenity of the beautiful village, Optional activities available are fishing, boating, sanctuary visit etc
Tame the afternoon waves on the lake on a water scooter or speed boat
In the evening, board your boat for a romantic sunset cruise in the backwaters

Kumarakom is a back water resort as well as a bird sanctuary, and typifies the village life of Kerala. This is where you can enjoy the virgin beauty of Kerala villages. The hub of backwaters, this is also a favorite hideaway of migratory birds. Backwaters are intricate labyrinth of canals and lagoons, which you can find no where else in the world. While at Kumarakom, a walking tour inside the serene sanctuary will definitely prove to be invigorating.
Day 9 - KUMARAKOM MUNNAR (160 Km; 4 ½ Hrs)

Visit Munnars tea plantations
Walk through the hills kissing the clouds, breathing the sweet smell of Tea
You can try mountaineering and rock climbing at Munnar

MUNNAR, the picturesque hill station of Kerala, popularly famed as Tea City. Munnar is located at a height of 1600 meters above sea level, at the confluence of three mountain streams. It is the home of Nilgiri Tahrs, a species of wild ibex, which are on the verge of extinction. Enjoy the cool and sublime climate and the unpolluted environments. The endless greenery will make you a poet or dip in your favorite book in the lap of mother nature.
Day 10 - MUNNAR

Visit Munnar town and enjoy shopping in the local market

Day 11 - MUNNAR COCHIN (135 Km; 4 Hrs)

COCHIN the palm green commercial capital of Kerala is located on the cluster of islands and narrow peninsulas. The older parts of the city are an unlikely blend of medieval Portugal, Holland and an English country village grafted on to the tropical Malabar Coast. Here you can see the oldest church in India, winding street crammed with 500 year old Portuguese houses, cantilevered Chinese Fishing nets, a Jewish community whose roots go back to the Diaspora, 16th century Synagogue, a palace containing some of Indias most beautiful murals.
Day 12 - COCHIN CHERUTHURUTHY

Half day sightseeing tour of Cochin
Proceed to Cheruthuruthy in Thrissur (112 km; 3 hrs)
Spend the rest of the day at your riverside resort
You can revive yourself with a soothing Ayurvedic massage (optional)

COCHIN TOURVisit St. Francis church, the oldest church of India, Mattancherry Palace, Jewish Synagogue and the Chinese Fishing Nets.

Day 13 - CHERUTHURUTHY WYNAD (209 Km; 5 hrs)

En route visit the elephant stable at Guruvayoor
After a long drive check into your resort, and enjoy a lazy stroll around the town
In the evening, take an excursion to Pookot Lake
Hire a boat and try your hand at angling
Overnight at the hotel, Vythiri
WYNAD this is predominantly plantation country. Coffee, spices and rubber make up the major plantations. Picturesque and fresh, a simple stroll is bound to be surprising and enchanting. The major attraction at Vythiri is a trek into the jungles. The norm is to expect the most unexpected a lone elephant, a wildcat one doesnt know. Pookot Lake, a natural fresh water lake bordered by evergreen forests.
Day 14 - WYNAD

Set off on a long sightseeing trip
Take a visit to the prehistoric Edakkal caves
Evening, set off to the Tholpetti Wildlife Sanctuary
After a long and eventful day, head back to the resort for dinner and a good night's rest

Edakkal caves Take a visit to the prehistoric Edakkal caves. The cave has ancient paintings, carvings and inscriptions dating back to the stone ages.
Tholpetti Wild life Sanctuary If luck is with you, there are many species that you can watch at close-quarters.
Day 15 - WYNAD CALICUT (100 Km; 2 ½ hrs)

Take a breathtakingly scenic drive along the winding mountain path to Calicut
Visit the Pazhassiraja Museum and art gallery
You can also take a visit to the Kappad beach

Day 16 - CALICUT

Visit the Dolphins point early in the morning, where you can watch the playful dolphins in the sea
Drive to Beypore, 11 km from Calicut

Beypore is a small coastal town famous for its country crafts called Uru built by the traditional ship builders known as khalasis.
Day 17 - DEPARTURE CALICUT
